What Practice Worth does
A practice owner uploads a profit-and-loss statement and a collections-by-provider report. The platform reconstructs Adjusted EBITDA the way an institutional buyer would: it normalizes owner compensation to a market-rate replacement doctor, identifies discretionary add-backs, adjusts for rent and provider mix, and applies tiered market multiples. The output is a downloadable 20-page PDF that shows every adjustment line by line, along with a three-tier valuation range.
The methodology is published openly, so any owner, buyer, broker, or CPA can check the assumptions behind a given number rather than taking the result on faith.
Who is behind it
Dr. David E. Eslinger, DDS, MBA founded the company. He is a dentist with an MBA who spent the past decade on the buy side of dental M&A, advising private equity firms and dental support organizations on practice acquisitions, and has held C-suite, executive leadership, and board roles in the DSO industry. Practice Worth exists because he kept watching owners walk into sale conversations without the numbers the buyer across the table already had.
Karen L. Eslinger, RDH owns the company. She is a registered dental hygienist with decades of clinical experience, and she grounds the platform in how practices actually run day to day rather than only in how they look on a spreadsheet.
What it costs
$99, one time, per practice valuation. There is no subscription, no per-seat licence, and no success fee. The price is applied automatically at checkout; no promotional code is required. A formal appraisal from a credentialed valuator typically runs $4,500 to $10,000 and takes four to six weeks, which is exactly the gap this is built to fill.
What Practice Worth is not
It is not a brokerage. Practice Worth does not list practices for sale, does not represent buyers or sellers in a transaction, and takes no commission. Customer financial data is never shared or sold to brokers or DSOs.
It is not a formal appraisal. For litigation, an IRS filing, a divorce, a partnership buyout, or bank underwriting, engage a credentialed appraiser (CVA, ASA, or ABV). Practice Worth is a preparation and decision-making tool, and says so plainly.
It is not the generic phrase. “Practice worth” is also the common way people ask what a practice is worth, so the company name collides with a very common search. Practice Worth LLC is a specific Missouri company at getpracticeworth.com. The separate domain practiceworth.com is an unrelated entity with no connection to this company.
How the methodology is validated
Every software release is tested against a 25-scenario internal validation bench covering single-doctor general practices, multi-provider groups, six specialties, and multi-location DSO acquisition targets. Expected Adjusted EBITDA is hand-calculated for each scenario and compared against the platform’s output.
Practice Worth is explicit about the limit of that claim: this validates that the software applies its documented rules correctly and consistently. It is internal benchmarking, not a peer-reviewed study and not a back-test against closed-transaction data. With accurate inputs, a buyer rebuilding the model independently should generally land within about 10% of the result.
